“Never again clutter your days or nights with
so many menial and unimportant things
that you have no time to accept
a real challenge when it comes along.
This applies to play as well as work.
A day merely survived is no cause for celebration.
You are not here to fritter away your precious hours
when you have the ability to accomplish so much
by making a slight change in your routine.
No more busy work.
No more hiding from success.
Leave time, leave space, to grow.
You and I have 86,400 seconds each day of our lives. No more, no less. That’s 1,440 minutes. What we do with them is our choice. Say yes or no to what you are called to do. I say only respond to those that really matter, the vital matters of your life and work. You determine what is important and focus, focus, focus on them. Don’t “hide from success.” Find the time to grow and do it now as Mandino admonishes in the quotation above. You owe it to yourself, to those you work with and to those you love. Do it now!
Please let me know your thoughts on this blog and any of the others I have shared. I would love to hear from you.
