Terry Visger is a master teacher and professional storyteller. She speaks and directs workshops andconferences nationally.Throughout her more than thirty years in the field of education, Terry Visger has taught, motivated, and energized learners ranging from pre-school to corporate executives. She has trained and spoken to audiences on a local, national and international level. Terry uses her background in education and her skills as a professional storyteller to provide clients and audiences with the information and skills to improve communication, launch change, share knowledge, foster collaboration and lead people into the future.
Terry taught in the La Crosse, Wisconsin school district for thirty-five years. During that time she spoke before many college classes, teacher in-services, Visger, College of conferences, conventions and parent groups and discovered that her most powerful messages came in the form of stories. In 2000 she became a professional storyteller and has since used story to captivate, motivate, entertain and inform.
Terry received her Bachelor of Arts degree and her Masters of Professional Development from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. As a teacher she was nominated for the Herb Kohl award and received a Fulbright memorial fund scholarship which enabled her to travel to Japan to study their culture, schools, and stories. She has been very involved in her local storytelling guild and is a member of the planning committee for a storytelling festival. |
